I invite you to join a special group of women in a very unique opportunity to set aside time from your busy life to concentrate on your life priorities and passions, and make the commitment to build those priorities and passions into your day-to day life.
Situated in the French Alps, the retreat will focus on your next life chapter: by design, not drift. Participants will be women like you and me who are facing a new phase in our lives (changing or retiring from previous roles or careers themselves, or possibly a change in a partner’s focus or role, or perhaps the launching of children) who are ready to set goals and develop an achievable plan to identify and live our passions and dreams. We will have the help of an expert facilitator and the support of a confidential group of like-minded yet uniquely strong women. To ensure that there is time for in-depth conversations and meaningful exchange of ideas and feedback between participants, group size will be limited to 6-8.
Information about the area of the French Alps and the accommodation can be found on the Homeaway.co.uk website, property number 17626: homeaway
what to expect
We had the first retreat of this kind in the French Alps in 2016, followed by two retreats delivered in 2017 and 2018. The retreats have exceeded our expectations with respect to all of our stated goals: the course content, facility and timing of events, and post retreat outcomes (we achieved what we set out to do – both short term and medium term goals have been achieved with all individuals completing the work). We plan to offer retreats going forward in the months of June and Sept/Oct, glorious times to be in the Alps.
We have developed a process that we would like to continue sharing, and we’d like to invite you to join us for the next retreat.

Meet Our Team.
Loved it so much, I am already planning another Next Chapter retreat for this fall.
What a transformation this retreat offered for me! Going in to the Next Chapter retreat I was a busy neurologist, wife and mother, with a head full of questions about where my life needed to be headed. I had considered retirement from my medical and research practice, but was very uncertain about when, how and what would remain after leaving this gratifying but stressful work behind me. Enter a four-day gift of the Next Chapter retreat in French mountain paradise.
The transformation: along with a small group of other women also questioning life direction we received expert guidance and insight in a safe, step-wise path to our go-forward life goals. This retreat lead me into a deep discovery of myself... who I really am behind the roles, and ultimately an unconstrained vision of who and where I wanted to be. Unlike other learning sessions I have attended, this one provided specific one-on-one guidance when needed, full development of my goals, a timeline for my retirement and allowed me to create my four life goals going forward. I left with a lasting insight, a commitment of milestones toward my goals and the certainty that I could DO this. This was more than just a 'tipping point'...it was a deep shift in my confidence and optimism about my future life. I am now living that life and could not be more grateful.
The venue is indescribably beautiful. The chalet and catered meals were sumptuous, with hot tubs, daily hikes, exercise/yoga and mountain air filling us with the joy of health.
Do it!
Being away from home and completely immersed in a different environment and surroundings allows you the opportunity to dedicate yourself to you. Working and sharing with the group also provides additional learning, comfort and personal awareness that (a) you are not the only one going through “it" (b) you are surrounded and supported with love which makes being vulnerable and true, easier and moving forward, faster (c) you arrive home equipped with tools, an awareness and renewed energy, to make a difference for yourself and others around you.
This is Tahereh, I was a participant of the “moving forward retreat” in 2017, coached by Francine Landry. It was a unique, unforgettable and full of fun retreat with lovely, memorable effects on me. Francine knows her job very well and professionally guided the group toward the main goal of the retreat. She was always available and friendly with helpful tips when I needed them.
The accommodation was in a place which looks like my childhood fairy tales and/or Heidi’s grandfather cottage in the Alps if you remember Heidi story from your childhood!). We had very good, local and healthy food, pleasant Alpine type big cottage with modern, clean private rooms and cozy sitting and dining areas. The surrounding nature was quiet and perfect with some lovely cows with their dangling bells:) . There was a beautiful village in walking distance and we had several pleasant visits to nearby towns. Above all the atmosphere of the retreat was super friendly and relaxing. I can say, I found lovely, supportive friends and a very nice adventure in the Alps.
After the retreat I feel more comfortable with myself and my deep hidden problems. I can see my life more realistic with less guilt feeling and at the same time moving forward with more hope and solutions to overcome my short comings.
I woud love to go back there and be part of that friendly retreat with those dreamy evenings and early mornings. I endorse and recommend 100% this relaxing retreat with its lovely, knowledgeable ladies whom run and manage this program.
I attended an awesome retreat last October led by Francine Landry and hosted by Patti Hartman. This was a most magical retreat location with first class hospitality and gourmet meals.
The theme was continuous daily with consistent coaching and genuine positive energy working through and focusing in on challenges and goals and how they affect you. Through careful individual coaching, group sharing and activities I had a clear goal and steps to achieve. Francine has great skill at drawing out your true self and I value her ability to ‘see’ what is really going on in yourself. Things you may not really be aware of. Much laughter and tears as well in a safe and caring small group many successful realizations were unveiled. I feel the experience was incredibly valuable and skills learned will be lifelong.
The time I spent was challenging personally and some well needed soul searching and quiet self reflection was again life affirming yet difficult at times. I laughed , I cried. I cherish the women in my group and the experience with each of them. I look forward to another!
